With typical calibration processes, you need to ship your device back to the manufacturer, which leaves you without a breathalyzer for a period of time. However, with BACtrack View, we've streamlined this to ensure you always have the most accurate and reliable technology with zero downtime.

The Breathalyzer Refresh Program

Instead of traditional calibration, BACtrack View offers a unique Breathalyzer Refresh Program. Through this program, we provide you with the opportunity to receive a brand new replacement breathalyzer every 12 months from your service sign-up date, completely free of charge.

Why Do We Offer a New Device Instead of Calibrating?

  • Peak Accuracy and Reliability: Sending you a new device ensures you are always using a breathalyzer with sensors performing at their optimal level.
  • Zero Downtime: You won't be without a breathalyzer. We send you the new one, and then you return the old one using a provided pre-paid mailer. This means no interruption to your monitoring schedule.
  • Latest Technology: This approach allows us to ensure our users benefit from any minor firmware updates or improvements (if necessary).

How the Breathalyzer Refresh Program Works:

  1. Eligibility: As long as you have an active BACtrack View subscription, and you've reached the12 month mark, you're eligible.
  2. Notification: Approximately 30 days before your 12-month service anniversary, we'll send you an email (and an SMS if you're opted-in) inviting you to request your free replacement device. You'll receive a few additional friendly reminders if you haven't requested yours.
  3. Request Your New Device: The email will contain a link to a simple form. Just click the link and fill out the form to confirm you'd like a new breathalyzer.
  4. Receive & Return: We'll ship your new breathalyzer to you at no cost. Included with your new device will be a padded envelope and a pre-paid shipping label to easily return your old breathalyzer to us.

What if I Don't Request a Replacement?

Participation in the Breathalyzer Refresh Program is highly recommended to ensure continuous accuracy (especially in legal cases), but it is not mandatory. If you choose not to request a replacement device at the 12-month mark, your current breathalyzer will not be deactivated - it will continue to function. While it's possible your device may eventually show signs of needing replacement, many devices remain accurate and reliable beyond 12 months.
